Clinic Policies

booking POLICy:

All appointments can be made by booking through email, telephone or online through this website. For same day appointments please email therapist directly and wait to receive confirmation.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. A $50 cancellation charge will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given. If you arrive late for your appointment, you will receive treatment for the length of time remaining in your scheduled appointment.

Appointment:

All appointments may include health history, assessments, treatment and remedial exercise.

The first visit will always start with a review of your health history form and discuss your reasons for requiring treatment. Blood pressure may need to be taken as well as assessments (range of motion, orthopedic assessments, etc.) may need to be completed in order to figure out how I can treat you in the most effective way possible while still maintaining your safety. Please feel free to ask questions at any time as I aim for you to feel informed about everything that takes place. If you do not wish for an assessment to occur you have every right to say 'no' and we will continue on with the next assessment or move right onto treatment.  Health history and assessments combined should take no longer than 15 minutes (at most).

Once the assessments have been completed we will discuss how treatment will go for the rest of your appointment and I will then leave the room to allow you privacy to get on the table. Before entering the room I will knock on the door and wait for your verbal consent that you are ready for me to enter and begin treatment.

CONSENT:

Before every treatment I will verbally ask for your consent. Once on the table you still have the right to revoke consent or ask for the treatment to be changed, altered, or stopped altogether. If the pressure or technique is not to your liking you have the right to request a change or to stop the treatment. This is your appointment, your treatment and you have the right to ask for changes if it is not up to your liking.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:

In order to receive an effective and safe treatment please make sure all medical conditions are listed on your health history form.  If your health changes between appointments please make sure to tell me at the start of your appointment as I may need to make changes to the treatment to ensure it is still safe and effective.
